Thumbs up Play ESPN NFL Football (NFL 2K4) in first person mode.

Visual Concepts has revealed that the next game in its ESPN NFL Football series will feature a first-person mode in which players will be able to view the action from the perspective of a player on the field. In addition, the audio and visual effects in the game will change depending on which position the first-person mode is focusing on--for example, quarterbacks can hear the footsteps of defensive players closing in for the sack, as well as the thud of bodies hitting the ground.

Actually, that could be really cool. It could be horrible, or it could be awesome. But most of Sega's stuff works, so I'm guessing this will be pretty cool.

This would defintitely need surround sound... even if it could be played without surround sound, surround sound would definitely make the experience two thousand times better.

But I don't think I'll be using this mode too muvh when I get the game. I think I'll stick with my traditional third person view.

It even says how it is a bit louder in this mode. So surround sound would definitely make it better.

    Cry Damn!!!

This is so Ridiculous, i wasn't even going to buy this game because i bought 2k3. I usually buy the sports games every other year and bank on friends to update (you know how it goes). Now i will be subjected to advertizing on TV for the next few months, and then be teased with all this crap about updates and inovations within you guys posts, eventually leaving me 50$ more in the hole

Now I must have this game

    oh wow!
I have been talking about a first person view in football games for alteast 5+ years now...

I really hope they do a good job with this view...

They gotta be able to make it so you can be running forward and look left and right at the very least ..

If they have a behind look.. that would be alittle stupid.. they would have to make it a peek over the shoulder kinda view.

Can't wait to get my hands on this game!

sounds great....just one more reason why sega sports is better than EA....and i will still call it NFL2k4 no matter what it says on the game box....its the mentality of it all

Yeah me and my friends have been talking about first person ever since Madden 2001. And I never thought of the looking-to-the-side aspect. They should definitely have that.

And to think, this was going to be a good game regardless! Now they have to go and add the 1st person view!

Right click this and save as

And yeah, this is going to rock - 1st person, dam, will the right analog be the one used to look around then? If so, FPS-style controls...I don't know if I can contain myself
