Default Freedom Fighters... What Brute Force should have been?

I wouldn't go as far as the title of my thread(Moreless said that to get ya in here) Brute Force was suppose to be the next great Xbox game. It was in development, and hyped up for a very long time. When the game was finally released, it was a pretty big let down. It wasn't a bad game by any means, but it was far from great.(oK enough about brute force, this thread is about Freedom fighters, not BF )

Last year EA announced a little title called Freedom Fighters(FF). After that announcement, the game seemed to drop off the face of the earth. I didn't really hear anything else about Freedom Fighters, untill a few weeks ago when I received my EGM. They actually gave the game a good review, and said the game was actually fun(EGM gave FF a 8) Then to my surprise, the game got another good review from OXM(gave the game a 8.5) Needless to say after the couple of good reveiws I read about FF, I got very interested in FF(3rd person squad based shooters is one of my favorite genres) so I downloaded the FF demo for the pc..

The game is very fun(more fun then Brute Force IMO) as far as I can tell from the demo(Game reminds me of syphon filter). The game isn't great, but it seems to be a lot of fun, the graphics arn't in Brute Forces league, but they get the job done. Needless to say after playing the demo, and reading the good reviews I plan on picking Freedom Fighters when it's released in two weeks.

If you're interested in Freedom Fighters, and you have a pc. You can download the game(Demo is 75mbs)HERE.

    Here's a few screens.

and here's some gameplay footage of Freedom Force.
    Freedom force video. 23mbs.

Why I wanna know is why its not live? With all the dev time you would think it would be. ***.

Same goes with SWAT that comes out in a month. Looks sweet as hell but NO LIVE. What the hell are these developers thinking? We've had on-line capabilities since the Dreamcast. Friggin nerds better get their pin-heads screwed on straight before I blow a fuse.

It's not the developers 99% of the time that exclude live. As in most cases with EA, it is the publisher. Take any game being developed by a company and produced by EA. It won't be released on LIVE becuase EA are a bunch of whiny babies who only play by thier own rules. Don't blame the developer, blame the publisher.

    I heard downloadable content only.

I dunno, but I saw the clip of the gameplay and if SWATS live that game will be the second coming. Maybe even better than CS2.

Sooooo many Brute Force haters. It's a fine game, and I myself have gotten plenty of replay out of it. If everybody I knew wasn't such a bunch of Halo-philes ( ) I would definitely be playing more of it on multiplayer then I do. Unfortunate that hype has hurt the reputation of this excellent title. Wait until the second installment, people will be gushing about how much they loved the first.

FF looks alright, btw. Still, it's no Brute Force.

I think Brute Force kicks the crap out of this game...but, that's just me. I believe that Brute Force would have done so much better if it was on XBox Live...easily.

Brute Force was one of the better xbox games, but I do think FF gives it a run for its money. What really angers me tho(besides no LIVE), is no co-op! With cooperative play, FF would move up on my scale from rental to purchase.

I was pretty ticked off about no online play for SWAT too, but at least it will have co-op.
