I headed into an elevator and pressed the tenth level button. I was surprised at the speed at which the elevator travelled. Probably reached the floor in less than ten seconds from the building's lobby.

Nervous as hell, I stepped out and looked about in both directions. On the right I could see through two glass doors that looked like a cafeteria/lounge area. I looked left and saw two large, steel-like doors...

i was following this story as the lucky fan, named spitcodfry, posted about it on the halflife2.net boards. There's not much new hl2 info, except that Gabe said "We'll see." in response to questions about Sept30 release date.

Lucky guy and nice find Koopa poopa. Even if it doesn't come out on the 30th, Halo will still keep my dad occupied when the time comes.
