That looked cool and everything but....Why is it when the grenades would go off and explode the bodies would fly about a second later? I never really liked the first one but my friends might get it and I'll eventually play it and learn to love it.

Wynnfire, one word answers your question. Shockwaves. They are the reason we react the way we do to explosions. Nothing will happen to you until the shockwave reaches you. Notice that the time until the person goes flying is variable but in direct co-relation to the distance of the person and the time it takes for the shockwave to reach him.

Man I want this game.. I loved the first. Just got back from the game store.. doing a little recon. This game is slated for Oct 8th. Abosolute coolness.

Ragdoll effects happen when bullets travel so fast that they don't actually kill the person when they go through. 9mm bullets are notorious for that. So the first few go through.. the body goes into shock, and limbs get knocked back, and they naturally spring back.. Usually the target is in shock after the first hit, so it has no idea what's going. It's all physics from there... momentum, elasticity of muscles.. so on and so forth. Until the bullet comes that disconnects the system.

There are a lot of variables that effect this.
