Effective today, Japanese gamers can purchase an Xbox console, the DVD kit, Project Gotham Racing 2, Halo, a two-month Xbox Live trial and two controllers for 19,800 yen. That's roughly $180.00 at the current exchange rate.

yeah where is the love ... I would be forced to buy a second XBOX with that bundle being offered. They get HALO and PGR2 and we get Tetris Worlds and Clone Wars ... you have got to be kidding me.

Its called marketing expertise. They don't need to sell that many back home in the USA, they need to get the other countries interested in their product, they need to outsell the lamecube back at home base.

Of course not. I would have 16 if I could afford, then I would open up an Xbox camp. Only problem is it would cost well over $20,000 for TVs, Xboxes, controllers, and games... But it would be worth it... right?

Are you trying to be smart ... I don't think there is a person who red this post and said "Why are they doing that?" ... there is no reason to act smart like that.

Seriously it this helps to sell more xboxes in Japan that will help us all.

That is an awesome bundle, but to be serious... My only interest lies within the Halo box cover...It looks really sweet.

Oh and the box with the Xbox in it.

Oh and the PGR2...

That's the bundle everyone's been waiting for. I'll have to pick one up, since I'll require my own Xbox when I go to college next year. It doesn't look like this is an American offer (but the xbox jewell is green and not the japanese black). In any event, I'm sure it will be available within the next nine or ten months.

i JUST bought the bundle available here (for $180) that came with the console (obviously), clone wars and tetris worlds, 2-month xbox live trial, and only ONE controller ... i think i should move.

I am completely with you there. I have been touting that argument any and every time someone has brought up new marketing techniques for Japan. I don't want my money spent on poeple who could give a crap about the system. I want my money to be put towards satisfying me!

i honestly dont give a damn, i spent 300 for mine and didnt get any games.....

and then i bought azurik for 50 bucks as my first game.....luckly i didnt dump xbox when i heard the game sucked and rented DOA3
