Weird as hell boot up screen...

Just last night I was playing Mech Assault for a few hours. A few of the guys I was playing wanted to go play Crimson Skies so I joined them.

Anyway when I took out the MAssault disk and popped in the CS disk a weird as hell boot up screen showed up. XBOX popped up on the screen with a backround full of alot of different colors. Then it went into some weird Japanese writing but it didnt LOOK or ACT like a glitch. I thought it was going to tell me DL content was available or I put in a different game. After that happend the normal CS screen showed up.

Did this ever happen to anyone else?

Yea, some users have posted about this already - X-fan especially, if I can find it, i'll post it. But it's mostly happening after XBL 2.0 was released , so it's some kind of weird glitch - nothing that bad though.

It's happened to me too. I just turned my Xbox off, and turned it on again, and it's never happened since.

all ur xbox is doing it looking at it as a DVD movie insted of a game and displays the message that appers when u put the game in a regular DVD player

This happened on my old Xbox a long time ago before I even had Xbox live(I promise).. There's drums playing and the Xbox logo pops up then that screen shot displayed above shows itself.. It's really weird.

weird... How often does it happen to you? and which drive do u have?
Mine has never done that. Though something weird did happen to one that i was playing on. We were playing HALO, and then we got up, and the screen went pure green flickering, for like 1 minute, and it wasnt ours, so we just left it for a minute, and then the halo screen went on..very strange

you had the DVD play back kit pluged in didnt you??
it did that to me a few times. it thinks the xbox disc is a regular DVD so it plays the little dvd video on it. i think ill do that in a DVD player to.

this happened with me yesterday,but it wasnt the screen with the japanese stuff on.it was a whole different intro like the normal one,was pretty scary...
