what is xbconnect, i tried emailing xbox.com and got no reply. is it like xbox live, in other words, do you have to pay for it?

it fools your xbox into thinking an online game is a lan game, but you need a computer and a hub, and there is a whole forum for this if ya look =/

And its free, but its nowhere near as good as LIVE

It's the only way to play Halo on-line...that's what XBConnect is. It's a blessing, if you ask me.

I guess Gamespy is another one, however, I strongly prefer XBConnect.

It's a free download. Requirements are a HUB and a computer if you have them. There is installation directions on the site of various set-ups that will work. Hopefully that helps
