the idea of ea publishing breakdown is starting to spell disaster I just wish nmco had decided to do both publishing and developing of it.

They're just publishing it, they're not developing it. Though it does mean I won't be buying it probably.
I just dont understand why namco would feel the need to find a publisher. didn't they develop AND publish soul calibur 2.
well Considering the only EA game I play is Road Rash for My genisis and I vowed never to buy an EA game for Xbox ,looks like Breakdown won't be in my library,

I dont care about Publishing or Developping because the games its all that matters and Namco does Pretty good Games...The only bad Game i Played that was made From Namco is Soul Calibur 2 (1)...R:Racing revolution is good,Tekken (1,2,3,4), And lots more...Dont be worried for something like That...Like i Say...Do not Drown your self in a Glass of water!!!
I am going to be turned away by the ea logo on the box. Ea seems to put its seal of approval on it which makes me wonder about the game.
Just it saying EA is going to make me shy away from it. What next? It'll also be on PS2 and GameCube!? hahahah!
knowing EA.......Originally posted by Brutus

Whatever. I wasn't planing on buying this game anyways. I don't judge a game by its developrer/publisher. I figure that if it is a good game, who care who makes it?

yea same with me. The game doesn't look all that hot anyways. ooooh i can flex my arm and it giz spills all over.
Good EA is only publishing this in Europe. Don't have to worry about the EA problem here in America.
it seems like anything ea steps in wheter its crap, or a game never reaches its full potential.
The only way that I gudge games is when I actually play them.
Breakdown is going to sell about 200,000 units. Namco doesnt want to take heavy losses like that.Originally posted by Wolfgame

shut up....
This game looks like a great rental just to check it out, IMO.
If I could play EA games on XBL then I would like EA. But I don't know of any that I can play on XBL....Breakdown looks good anyway.
Hmm.. I just did the interview for breakdown, and it really looks cool. This game is supposed to bring a new intensity level to FPS gaming. Wait for my interview to get the details. But I was unaware of EA stepping in as a publisher. When I wrote it, it was a Namco-Hometek deal. I find it odd that EA is involved now.
Does someone have a link that talks about EA stepping in as a publisher? I'd like to do some research.
Electronic Arts announced today plans to publish BREAKDOWN from Namco for the Xbox video game system from Microsoft.
Breakdown is the hotly anticipated first-person action adventure title that combines Namco's legendary fighting game experience with the best elements of traditional shooters. A thrilling science fiction storyline is revealed through its high-end, real-time rendered graphics, bringing an unprecedented level of realism to the gameplay experience. The game features intense hand-to-hand and weapons-based combat, challenging puzzles, surreal dream sequences, advanced A.I and massive, detailed environments for exploration.

And you'll never really know probably. Hopefully it won't affect quality releases in the future.Originally posted by Wolfgame
