Xbox's have their own names?

I read on another forum that the name at the top-left of the multi-player loading screen is the name of your system, is this true?

Also why does the name sometimes change? Mine has said "hambone" and "The Big L"

Others are:

The Bear, The Big L, Butcher
Caboose, Crazy, Cupid
Darling, Dasher, Disco, Donut, Dopey
Ghost, Goat, Grumpy
Hambone, Hollywood, Howard
Jack
Killer, King
Mopey
Noodle
Penguin, Pirate, Prancer
Saucy, Shadow, Sleepy, Snake, Sneak, Stompy, Stumpy
Tooth
Walla Walla, Weasel, Wheezy, Whicker, Whisp, Wilshire

Just Wonderin what this means!!

This was covered already. The other post is probably a page or so back now. It pretty much resulted in everyone saying that our Xbox's do not have names, but those names that are appearing are just random names generated, because you didn't pick one or something.

I posted like that, but I wan uninformed. The name that changes all the time is your characters name, but, above the list of people playing, it shows a little picture of an xbox. Above that is your xbox's name, and it never changes. Lucky for me, mine is named Killer.

Yeah, mine says JCD. WTF is a JCD?

I don't know what it stands for.

I know it changes because mine has showed "hambone" and "The Big L"

Also during multiplayer on one of the games it renamed one of my friends "caboose"

Just wonerding what this is and why it does it
