So does anyone know anything out there?

the 360 has 3 usb ports, and 4 wireless controller connections.
So no the current controllers won't work..
So I have a question What if I use all the 3 usb ports for my wire controllers and at the same time all 4 wireless controllers would I be able to play will all controllers for a 7 player game. HMMMMOriginally Posted by Bakeman
Don't believe so. I'm pretty sure it's limited to 4 controllers... in any configuration (except 4 wired, it's just not possible)
who would want to play with 7 people in a game?? What?? super smash brother royal rumble??? Two is the max that i would want to play anyways, i prefer one, and LIVE so people wont raid my fridge..
A sports game would be fun with more than 4 people.
Someone could have the thrill of playing as the Nose Tackle.
And just imagine being the Center. That would be awesome.
thats why we have online games Although with sports games, it would be pretty complicated to get everybody doing the right thing. Almost not worth the hassle.
yeah playing sports games in any sort of co-op kinda sucks
But if you want to play with 7 people on one console go with the PS3. And if you get bored you can all go out and play boomarange.
Playing the Nose Tackle would be fun.
Nope, none of the current stuff will work. They want your money, so they're not going to have older stuff be compatible.
Yeah i agree, sports games in co-op is nowhere near as fun as Vs.
I've never had need for more use than 2 controllers in the comfort of my own home, although we all packed into a mates house for the halo2 release, where he had 4 controllers. It could have been my place, but he has a larger fridge.
The fridge is definitely something worth guarding - haha ;-)

ok so you cant 'directly' use old xbox accessories in the 360, but could someone bring out a converter plug so you can or something? Gotta be able to make more use of my cordless controllers - hahaha
Did they do something like this for the ps1 and 2 - or were they just addaptable anyways?

ps1/ps2 had the same connection, controllers were interchangeable from what I remember. Someone may come along and create and adapter to let you use current xbox controllers with the 360, but I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for it to happen.
I hope sports game will be able to support like 8 on 8 for football.. and i would love to have a 5 on 5 game of hockey.
I used to post here a lot.

Hmmm... that's a good point. I use a PS2 controller on my PC via a USB adapter. The same thing exists to let you use the XBox controller on the PC. Perhaps someone will come up with a way to use these USB adapters on the XBox.Originally Posted by ShannonX
remember the Black and White buttons no longer exsist on the 360 controller..
That alone will probably cause the controller to never work.
To my understanding, if you own very expensive high end Component Cables with the proprietery input for the regular XBox, they WILL NOT work on the XBox 360. I was so pissed off when I read that. I think I read that on the XBox 360 brochure...
the white and black buttons are on top by the triggers now like a ps controllerOriginally Posted by Bakeman
Maximus.... You'd think ms would wanna keep us happy. That brasses me off tooo - esp if its a trend in the way they make and release consoles. Everytime i need to update (notice how we cant just upgrade - thats a bugger) to the latest machine, i'm gonna have to buy all the accessories over again.
The consoles gotta be money enough doesn't it?
Oh well
