newbie wants to know

just picked up two xbox's and one of them has xbox live option and one does not??? why they both are the same

hmm... why would you want 2 xbox's...

Well anyways if i recall. the xbox live option either comes with the box, or has to be downloaded, so im pretty sure the other xbox is an olderversion of the software.

yeah my first xbox didnt have it, i bought forza and it had an update option, maybe put in a live game and see what it does

Yeah, there's nothing to worry about. Simply put in an XBox Live enabled game and while your XBox is hooked up to your modem. XBox Live will automatically prompt you when you try to access XBox LIve through the XBox Live enabled game. It will update your XBox.

Even with any new XBox, there is likely some sort of XBox Live update....so, no worries.
