Why PoS2 in U.S.?

Why is the Playstation2 referred to in the U.S. as PoS2? What is the 'o' for?
'Overhyped'?
'Orrible'?

I think the "O" is for Operating, so it would be Playstation Operating System 2. I am probably wrong though.
