Heads Up! for CONSOLES

Since consoles are a different beast and appeal to, I guess what you'd call a "subset" of the Faceplate collectors, I've been asked to create a thread for Custom, Collectors Edition and Limited edition consoles.

If you see a unique console or console case, you're welcome to provide a link directly to the auction, or to wherever you spotted the console (like a news article).

Keep in mind, if you're going to buy a custom case and put it on a working console, that goes into the realm of "modding" and any discussions about the actual act of modding are forbidden here at Xbox Addict. We do not encourage anyone to modify their actual console in any way that would void the Microsoft warranty, which includes opening the machine. It also presents a potential physical and/or electrical hazard to the person who opens a box, and XBA will not leave themselves open to responsibility for such matters.

Lastly, please keep discussions to the Xbox and Xbox 360 only. I know there are a ton of cool DS's and PS2's, but that's for another forum.

Spacy, how about setting up a heads up thread for consoles.

Mt. Dew Xbox (not 360) for $139 BIN. I don't have one so I don't know if they came with matching lt. green controllers or not. This one doesn't.

What happened to me was worse. I bought a Simpsons Xbox from this seller "canusplay_eshop" and he said he could hold it for me until I return to the country. Period for filing has long passed. We exchanged emails for a bit but now I could not find him. He does not reply to emails or ebay messages. I now have $1200 out of my pocket

If anybody knows how to get in touch with this seller, please do let me know.

I remember entering that contest. I hate to see these consoles from the contests on ebay. It's annoying that many other people who are huge fans of the games and would have killed to win this didn't, but this person turns around sells theirs. They should go to people who are actually going to keep it. This is a huge problem with faceplate and console collecting. It's basically whoever has the most money to spend and totally defeats the purpose of contests.

This has been debated before and always causes a ruckus. I'm with you completely, but to other people it's theirs so they can do what they want with it.
