I already sent a message to Microsoft asking if they have any more of these. If they did a run and they were bad, they may have decided not to do another corrected run. Bad ones might be all there is. I thought for a second that maybe that offset thing was an artistic decision. Reason being, if it was an accidental offset for those black lines, then they would all be offset by the same amount. It looks like the image in the center of the plate is offset by a lot more than the images to the sides, like the effect was to make it look like it was standing out from the plate. But then looking at Banjo's lines on his face, I can't see an artist doing that intentionally.

Neither one is a skin - I've seen the Gears console before.

Colorware is the company that did the Indy console.

Look at the vent holes near the top and bottom of the consoles - skins don't cover those. You'll see an outline around them with skins.

It seems suspicious doesn't it? I want one... really bad, but it makes me nervous buying from sellers with only 2 feedback RIGHT before Christmas - probably because I've already been screwed on eBay once this holiday season. Darn scammers ruin it for everyone.
