sweet jesus man, this would be off the hook, all of the best sports games only 20 bones.....sign me up!
Sign me up for NHL I sure hope this is $20.
Do you guys think EA will ever respond by lowering its prices to compete?
I wonder if they'll be losing money by doing this. It'd be great if these games did REALLY well and other companies started dropping prices!
they already said all the espn sports game will be 20 bucks
No they haven't. As the article I linked to points out, the price for other ESPN sports games has not yet been confirmed.Originally Posted by RockTheCasba

it costs them wut $5...$10 to make a copy of a game?Originally Posted by CarGuy

They don't make there money by selling the discs, that's old school thinking, back to the cartridge days. They're selling the software. But you figure the Hours of Audio (Presented in Dolby Digital which I thought was sweet) & all of the stats & everything else, the only way they will make money is with volume sells.
Maybe that's why they dropped their price!
As far as NHL goes, I doubt they'll drop the price of that one. Too many people bought that because no one's brainwashed like they are when it comes to football - pertaining to Hockey - if that makes any sense.
when they first announced nfl football would be 20 i thought i heard on g4techtv that all the other ones would be 20 alsoOriginally Posted by Peepers
Casba, I thought that too, apparently I read it wrong on Gamespot. But hey, oh well.
It does cost less than $5 / per copy of a game, but you gotta think, how did the paychecks go to those people who helped make the game? I'm sure in the end they will lose money on certain games being $20, unless they sold, lets say a million copies, and as of now, I highly doubt any sports game by SEGA/VC would sell less than a million at $20.
