Consarnit! I thought they would actually implement the real faces. Then they go and use generic everything again. Thats what I hate about the Microsoft sports games, great graphics for the most part but the players are so generic, nothing like the real life counterparts. I hope they brush up the graphics a little bit more. It looked good before but the uniforms don't look so great in t hese shots.
love the rink, but the player models just suck.
And if I wanted to play simulation, I'd play NHL 2k3.
If I wanted to play arcade hockey, I'd play Hitz.
I really don't need a game that fits in the middle.

Anyway, i'd like a game in the middle of arcade and simulation...I like the arcade play, but i like what comes along with the sim games, like injuries, season mode, create a player, etc. I know that hitz 2003 has most of that stuff...i guess thats why I like it so much.
It looks okay. I'm not going to spill any beer over it. But like the others said, Hitz and 2K3 pretty much cover my hockey fix as it stand now.

I don't get where people are reading this is supposed to be a arcade/sim game. In all of the interviews I have read Microsoft explicitly said they were going to make it as realistic as possible, down to the face offs.

i hope they fix that. I hope to get a demo of this before it is realeased on oxm or something.
The models aren't top notch, but they aren't bad either. Pretty damn good then most other hockey games I've seen. The graphics look pretty nice, but I can't imagine actually playing with views like that.... I need to see some in game shots.
