There’s little known about Xyanide, an oddly titled game from Dutch developer/publisher Playlogic International. Typical for anything Dutch, Xyanide promises the insane mixed with the mental with a thin line of sanity resin bonding the whole thing together. It’s unstable and volatile but when it works it works. It’s more interesting that while Playlogic is based in the Netherlands, the actual development team consists of 55 veteran (veterans of what we’re not sure) programmers and artists from Belgium, Croatia, France and the Netherlands. The commuting time must be horrible.

We still know little about how this game plays, in fact we know close to nothing, but on the basis of the groundwork laid down Xyanide could be one of the best 3D shooters in several years, certainly the best on the Xbox. But again, gameplay info is scant so don’t hold your breath (you might die).

The 'preview' makes me wonder why developer's like these guys at PlayLogic don't support their games more by releasing info on gameplay and the like. Maybe they think they are onto a real good thing and don't wanna let the competition in on their amazing innovations. Or they are embarrassed they even got this far w/ a game they believe is half-ass. Guess we can only wait and see. I won't hold my breath, though.

Seriously though it looks pretty weird. Not alot of colors in those pictures though and what the hell is that purple circle thing?
