I'd say the Convenant, they seem to have uncountable numbers, and the Hunters can kick some major arse in battle. 1 on 1 battles maybe the Xen aliens, because covies aren't too bright.

Definitely the Halo aliens. They have ships, tanks, vehicles, and massive weapons, plus they are pretty tactically adept and are intelligent. A Hunter would whoop a Gargantua (Those big tall guys with the red eye on their head that you shoot, they shoot fire along the ground).
The Covenant would win. Xen aliens are not that harmfull and those stupid headcrabs are a joke. What if they couldnt use the covenant as a host? I don't think its much of a contest. Half-Life is a better game but Halo has the badder baddies.

How about Headcrabs versus those little squishy white things? Huh, Huh...yea...crabs got them beat for shure. And how bout that final boss on HL? Course...a bouple Covenant ships might be able to take it on.

I gotta go with Halo
Well everyone should know who would win. Halo
Meh, no contest between Xen and the Covenant... the Covenant of course.
Instead, think about this... who would win, Protoss vs. The Covenant.
Shredder from Ninja Turtles vs. Dr. Robotnik from Sonic.
Yep, either one, the covenent or the flood...
