i remember seeing concept designs of a VW that looked just like this, 3 or 4 years ago in auto magazines, before halo was released. The concept has been around for years, there just hasn't been enough incentive to build it. Now, there may be that incentive. People are looking for vehicles that could go offroad, yet be smaller than most of the SUV's driving around currently, and get better gas mileage.
