I'm not sure, but I think they project it to come out in May 2005 for the Xbox.
I was searching another forum and found this, still says early 2005 but its the most confirmation I've seen. The guy emailed Take 2 asking about San Andreas on Xbox and this was their responce.

I did the same thing earlier today, I wanted to make sure he was telling the truth. We'll see whether its true or not whenever they get around to replying to either email.
XB (WILL) get GTA:SA. I put money on it, and I bet it will be sooner than later, I have already seen articles on it.

I will put money on XB getting SA too, but not any time in Q1 2005. I would bet during early summer 2005. Sony will probably throw some money Rockstar's way in order to keep it exclsusive as long as possible. SA is all they have that can compete with Halo 2 and they wont let it go to another console only 4 months after its released.
Point is, until Rockstar announces it, no one knows.
Earliest I see it comming is MAYBE Summer 05.

xbox will play gta san but next year (2005), rockstar doesent want gta san to be forgot cause of halo2 and i bet that halo2 is going to last untill halo3 (if coming out) is out.

Yeah! It was mainly something to play before Halo 2... That and Halo before launch.
It is really good. IMO You can do alot of things in the game that I didn't expect...

A few thing were surprising to me. There is a DDR part in the game.
You can play vid. games in the game. You can play basketball too...
I'm definitely getting this IF it comes to Xbox... But I can wait... np at all!

I hope it's soon. I got it for PS2 but I don't use my PS2.
GTA Vice City, and GTA 3 came to Xbox late, I'm pretty sure San Andreas will come to Xbox too. But that will be after months...
