BF 1942 still in development for xbox?
Well today I got my May OXM issue and in the All Access section its talking about the Tsunami and how it will affect xbox live and one of the things they cover is mods and some sort of file sharing. At the bottom of the page, 12, it says "Battle Royal: The most popular PC game for online play as well as modding is Battlefield 1942. The good news: the Xbox version is in the works, and we should have more info on it soon."
rumors were this will be EA's first xbl game, if they decide to do xbl, but if they dont i wont be picking up this game
The only reason to put this game out would be for xbl.

uggg i hope this DOESNT come out. ive had bf 1942 PC for over a year and im sick of it! i would never buy it for xbox. its to late for this. they shuda had it last year

I do too, BF1942 is easily one of the best multiplayer online FPSs. I'll pick this up for sure if it's LIVE enabled.
Yeah, may be old, but I've never played it. I'll definitely give it a rent to see what all the excitement was about, but whether I'll have time for a title that old will depend on what else I'm playing when it comes out.

I hope it isn't like Counter-Strike a new xbox game of an old pc games with a few more courses and no updated graphics...what else is in may's OXM?
Bf1942 single player that is on the PC is very very...lacking. The IA is really bad, and well, lets face it, its a multiplayer game, not a single player.
Battlefield vietnam, is the same way..Multiplayer is the way to go
I have never played any BF games due to a shoddy computer, but when i get the last of my parts wednesday, ill be picking all the BF games up for PC. I would probably just stick with them on PC adn not get it on XBL unless 1.) The voice chat has as big of an affect on the game as CS for Xbox 2.) they update it a bit and 3.) my CS clan will play it... otherwise, I see no reason to rebuy what I will already have. BF1942 prolly wouldnt be a good move for EA at this point now, its to old, BF:Vietnam maybe jthey could get away with, but there best bet would be a whole new BF game...the hope is like ******* in the wind though, seeing as how it doesnt look like EA will be supporting live anytime soon
If BF 1942 comes out anytime soon, I can see myself picking it up...but, if it doesn't come out until this Fall, I'll definately pass on it...there's a little game called Halo 2 that will be occupying my time too much

yeah it would be, you would just spend hours in a trench getting bombarded my mustard gas and then you would pop out and get mowed down by machine guns. And yes it was ramdom.

1st of all a BF1914 could make a decent game if done properly, but there are pleanty of other wars out there. There could do the new found terrosism wars, the persian gulf crap, ect... or maybe they could do a BF1942 but in the pacific...who knows, they could even invent there own damn war. There are pleanty of possabilties
