Halo 3(60) - Holiday 2006

Ok, given the success of Halo and Halo 2, it is quite inevitable that Halo 3 will come out on Xbox 360 - or as I said, Halo 3(60).

MS wants to release the Xbox 360 this holiday to be a year ahead of Sony and Nintendo. THEN...when around Holiday 2006, Sony releases the PS3 and Nintendo releases that Revolution thing, MS will have a new Halo game ready...it would be a clever business plan. But would they be able to finish a new Halo game in a year and a half from now?

Are you just restating what we alread know? That is, that M$ and Bungie will release Halo 3 with the PS3 launch.

The problem with the idea is that there are many Halo fans that are frusterated with Halo 2. It's just a fact.

Business-wise a Halo 3 release when the PS3 comes out would be ideal. But the quality of the game would be low.

Halo was revolutionary because it was one of the first games on Xbox. Halo 2 wasn't, because it was just Halo with some better graphics and a disappointing storyline (the Halo books had a better story than Halo 2).

Meanwhile, imagine what a new Halo game on X360 would be...

alrite look, i wonder what would be in a halo3, i mean you already got xboxlive equipped H2 with updates every 3 months is what i heard, you will get new maps. Okay if its just for the campaign, why not be able to download jsut the campaign. well im sure why halo 2 took so long... is that they had to code for old technology.. and basically had to tone stuff down and see what worked right

this time they dont have to worry as much, with XNA, the devolopers say its just as easy as PC coding

My guess is that the 360 will be backwards compatable so that we can play Halo 2 on the 360 and no one misses good old Halo. Then Bungie will begin work on Halo 3 and MS will have hackers hack into Sony's PS3 lab and have it be delayed until Halo 3 is finally buffed and polished to its fullest extent. Once Sony finally finishes the PS3 after like 2 years and the decide to announce the release date Halo 3 will be aimed, and ready to fire.

I have very little hope for Halo 3. After the Auto-Update and the first 4 maps, I was starting to have a little more faith in Bungie. Then after getting information about the next 5 and seeing the playlist changes, I have lost what little hope I had for Halo 3. It will probably be winter 2006 like you said though.
