Wow, so it's will be something like Splinter Cell....
Back into the world of gaming.
Nice find. But I enjoyed the game as a first person shooter, I wonder why they would decide to change it. Was there a big push to change the aspect of the game?

im with Batcave76, it seems as if Redstorm is gonna take a strike at SOCOM much moreso than Conflict. Conflict isn't really a high name in video games, nor that good of a game. SOCOM is PS2 top game, and I would suppose it wouldn't be the worst idea to go after whats being the best on Playstation 2. UBI is definately turning themselves into the best publisher around, and I think Xbox Live is one of their big helps. (Come on, it made Ghost Recon, Splinter: PT, & Rainbow much more popular) Ubi doesn't seem to have any desire to let us Xbox owners down either.
Sweet it will now be like Socom,What,Yeah,Okayyy. Now I can finally own a GhostRecon game!!!
BOO....dont mess with perfection.
If its third person,It wont be ghost recon,I ont care what you call it.

Cook County Sucks!
"It is not an implausible assumption that all of the anti-American, anti-Semitic, socialist and communist dictators of the world would prefer a Kerry presidency, as President Bush has shown a willingness and determination to remove their like from power. John Kerry has vowed not to take any action without United Nations approval. Considering that much of the leadership was being bribed by Saddam Hussein, one should not expect Kerry to be a force for freedom in the world."
i still think they need a whole new graphics engine...cause they are pushing the limits on the one they are using now! come on! join the ubisoft team! get the good graphics!
Third Person Shooters < First Person Shooters....
The mysterious wardens serve as the night elves' special police force in Kalimdor. Set apart from the militant Sentinels, wardens are usually employed as jailors, assassins, and bounty hunters. When loosed upon escaped criminals, wardens employ a number of supernatural powers that enable them to recapture their prey and mete out the night elves' justice. Wardens have a line of sight teleport ability called "blink," which they can use to outmaneuver even the quickest of foes.
Booooooooooooooo!!!!!!! Boooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!
I liked it how it was, but I do think seeing the gun would be better. Basically like Halo. I hate playing SOCOM, the whole 3rd person thing doesnt do it for me. When is this game due out?
MAKING A NEW SIG
its supposed to come out in november. if halo 2 comes out around that time...i wont be getting GR2
I think the 3rd person view will be good for the series. I for one am looking forward to it
i think it will be bad. theyve done so well with the firstperson, why change it! i thought it was unique that way especially how you cant see the gun. i liked it, they shudnt change it
First person,in my opinion makes for a more intense experiance.I loved the first Ghost Recon.
Even if the new game is really good,it means the death of a great game.
i wont be buying this game even though i was hyped abt it.third person just does'nt do it for me.

I mentioned the third person thing in the "E3 rumour thread" and was shot down in flames, lol.
"Iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another."
I think it could be a good move. If it ain't broke, BREAK IT.
The Rainbow 6 series wiped out GR. They needed to change direction.
People seem to like SOCOM. And we have no exceptional third person LIVE titles.
I welcome the change.
